Explore Pastoral Supervision

In our work and lives we find ourselves in lifelong learning journeys. We all evolve, adapt and grow as a result of our experiences.
I am inviting you to consider supervision as an intentional relational practice where the supervisor enables learning, support and formation. Supervision enables us to consider our evolving self, so we remain able to flourish in our home and work life.
Pastoral Supervision is an opportunity to care for yourself and the people with whom you work, by devoting time to reflect on practice and abilities noticing moments God’s grace at work in your life. It is space to consider your learning needs, your wellbeing – alongside the wellbeing of those with whom you work.
Supervision provides a safe, confidential space for a reflective conversation. Reflection explores events after they have happened, to look back and learn from it. Through reflective conversation it becomes possible to see your work from many perspectives, revealing moments to celebrate and illuminating areas of new learning.
Therefore reflective practice is the intentional act of considering experiences in the past, to learn from them to inform the future.
Pastoral supervision is informed by psychological theory, spiritual understanding and takes into account the practitioners context. It provides continuous personal and professional development for the practitioner.
The supervisory relationship is underpinned with a clear contact of working together. This is developed collaboratively with your focus in mind as well as the requirements of your work place and my observations.
